Successful managers in a workplace environment have some things in common when it comes to how they use their time.
1. They Train Others
They know how to add value in the lives of those around them, but there is a secret to this. They do not just train others, but they train others in areas that will be useful to them. It is a way of adding value to the student that adds value to the teacher.
There are processes that their colleagues at work may not understand. These successful managers find it easy to bring others up and show them how to do things, because they know that it will benefit them both in the short and long term.

As a manager, the success of those that are under you is your success. Training them in the processes involved will make them more efficient. Talking about training here has nothing to do with the formal training on the job, because they should already know a lot and should have gone through on the job training. 3. They Monitor Their Team
They seem to have a lot of time on their hands, but successful managers use it to keep tabs on the members of their team with respect to the tasks that has been delegated to them. In this way, they are sure the tasks are going on smoothly.
They are quick to get involved when assisting their team members in their delegated tasks helps to score points for them. It also builds team spirit and respect for the manager because the subordinates him or her as someone that will not shirk from rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty.
4. They Review
They do not just send completed tasks forward, but they have a review process that gives them the chance to perfect anything on their desk, adding their touch before sending it. They also use it as an opportunity to review the processes involved with members of their team, using it to show them where they could fine tune. This goes back to the issue of training. It goes beyond training to mentoring them, which adds to building their loyalty. Reviewing is also an opportunity they use to build on team spirit.

There are managers who do not sit down with members of their team to look back on a task. They just move on with the next task. They are missing a lot because of the immense benefits that is associated with reviewing the work of their subordinates.
