To my understanding, just like making orders from China through aliexpress and other sites, I think orders are shipped after payment. Same way I think this works. The goods are sent based on orders and not that they bring goods to Nigeria for people to buy. Actually, the person doing the bales to my understanding just uses the shipment company to make his transactions easier. I haven’t tried yet anyway so I cannot say, but I am someone that take proper care to do my research before I make a foreign transaction. I will post the info of the shipment company here so that you can also help me check them up because from my findings, they are a worldwide shipment company with reputation.

Basically the arrangement is that payment is made at the office of the shipping company in Ikeja Lagos. The company is fastrack Logistics Limited. Its a well known company. You pay there and you are given a receipt and told when you are to come and collect the goods from the office. They have a warehouse there so they do everything and you just go and get your goods. I have confirmed all these and the man in the UK work with them to bring goods to Nigeria.

In regards to importing directly from UK, I have just gotten a contact there in the UK who I am planning to do business with. He said he uses a freight agent that handles the shipment and clearing while I just pick up from their office in Lagos. He has given me the information of the freight company and I have spoken with the manager but I am yet to meet him in person for now because of my tight schedule. So far I have confirmed from some people I know in the UK that he is genuine so I believe he is someone interested importers will want to meet also.

Thanks for your responses sir. I am actually very good with online marketing. My major challenge is offline marketing in regards to getting physical clients and presenting my portfolio to them.

Yes you can source from katangua market or Yaba in Lagos. Some people get it from Cotonou and trust me it’s everywhere.
The prices varies on the bale you are getting either for male, female or kids.
For example the female chiffon gowns bale is N135k for first grade London. The bale is 55kg and you have about 300pieces inside. If you sell a piece for just 1k the you can make 300k from one bale.
