Innocent Ujah Idibia populaly known as Tu Face, and most recently he preferred being called Tu Baba is a Singer and performer, father and mentor to many lads in the music industry. When you walk down the aisles of celebrity halls of fame across the country you can’t help but notice his portrait in the terrace. History and Biography

Born Innocent Ujah Idibia on 18 September 1975 in Jos, Plateau State Nigeria. He hails from okpokwu local government in Benue state Nigeria.  Tu Face went to Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School Benue state and to further his education, he went to the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in enugu. He failed to graduate after dropping out to pursue a career in music.

Music Career & Plantashun Boys

He dropped out of IMT due to divided interest between education and music. He was seen performing at any show that was ready for his services. After quitting school, he went to Lagos where joined a colleague Ahmed Augustine Obiabo (Black face) literally he has a black face and they both started out the music thing together.

Black face was also an IMT attendee. The duo added one chibuzor orji (faze) into the circle and that formed the popular “plantashun boys”. A group made of faces, 2face, Black face and Faze. This group dissolved itself in 2004 ,but regrouped in 2007 to do an album together, what could be termed as a proper goodbye album because that was the last the world heard from the plantashun boyz.

Everyone took care of himself. Solo Tu Face After the break up he got signed into Kennis music where he released most of his albums namely; Face 2 Face (2004), Grass to Grace (2006) and Unstoppable (2008). The “Unstoppable” was a promotional one, which he later did an international version of it. The international “Unstoppable” featured Mary J’blige in one its singles and was also the first album of a Nigerian to be internationally price appropriately. He quitted Kennis Music to start his “Hyperterk” Entertainment later on.

He is brand ambassador for National Food and Drugs Administration Control (NAFDAC) Nigeria and was once a Guinness brand ambassador. He was honoured with prestigious International Youth Ambassador for Peace Summit and the Nigeria Youth Merit Award by the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

He was appointed as an ambassador for the Nigerian Red Cross Society.He is the first non-Liberian to become an honorary member of the Liberian music society in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the growth of music in Africa.
