Long story short. Blogging is still as profitable as ever. I will pick blogging over online survey any day .
On how people make money, majority is through advert, advert and advertisements.

There are lot of means to generate income online apart from blogging. People are making good income just by selling their skills on fiverr.com and on other recognize sites.
Domain name biz is still very active. Packing and selling of domain names …
Web design is very lucrative.
…I can go on and on but you just have to start with one. Learn it, start it, run it, re-run it, master it, then you can move to another.

Let me start by saying what to look out for in a domain name; truth be told, not all domains are valuable. Below are the qualities to watch out for in a domain name; there are several things to consider in a domain name but don’t ignore these requirements
- short; e.g car.com
- easy to write and remember; e.g. nokia.com
- keyworded; e.g nissancars.com. hope you see the the keywords
- finally go for one word and two worded domains e.g robot.com that’s one word or robotmachine.com that’s two word
Here are the names not to register…..
- names that contain hyphens; e.g pana-dol.com
- letter and words e.g tube49.com
- long names and hard to pronounce names e.g biltosalitlahl.com. such names can easily divert visitors
