Weavon Business in Nigeria: How can I Increase Sales for my Wigs
I am currently advertising on Facebook and jiji but sales is poor. I specialize in braided wigs but i hope to expand to the other different types of wigs in future. What can I do to increase sells and make more profit in my business? Is there a special strategy to make my advertisement more effective?

Very nice that you are running some ads campaign already. You said this above “What can I do to increase sells and make more profit in my business?”
i am seeing a guy here who want to make More profit in his business. That is what we need to change first. Gone are the days when the sole aim of a business is to make profit alone. Don’t get me wrong, all businesses are established for profit sake.
However, there is more to it. You have to change your mentality to make profits alone. You have to think about helping ladies to be beautiful, that’s the reason why you chose a wig business, you should think about the cosmetic shop owner on your street to make some money too.
Braided wigs are very cool on ladies and in demand in Nigeria. As long as ladies exist, your wig business is standing..
Here is what i will advice.
*Market your stuffs to cosmetic stores.
*Do not ignore that hair dresser down the street
*Tell your female sisters, cousin, friends, girl friends about it. Even your brother can tell his female friends. That’s marketing.
*Go social. Create pages and share pictures.
Go to higher institutions and do your thing.
You will thank me later if you can try those. Its a cool business. You just need to be radical about it. Becoming popular takes a lot of works.
Good luck sir

thanks alot
Initially it won’t be easy for you to attract many customers now. It has to be gradual, as time goes on and with your consistency it will pick up. So many people won’t want to come out of their shell immediately to come patronize you. They will want to be convinced that your products and prices are good.

Thanks for that Chinwe…..

thank you chinwe
To add to what you guys have said, you need to target the right customers with your advertisement. It is not just enough to advertise, you must target the right audience and demographic.
If you are advertising on Facebook, make sure your target audience are females, especially young girls and married women in their late thirties. These ones are more likely to appreciate and patronize your products. Learn how to use Facebook ad targeting system. See also how to advertise on Facebook.
If you are advertising on eCommerce sites like Jiji and Olx, learn how to use tags and make sure you list your products in the right category. People usually search products using category and tags, so it won’t make sense if you drop your weavon product under Cars category.
@Apeiron has giving you all the tips you need and as @Chinwe said, business sometimes take time to pick up. While doing your marketing, you need to show some patient and give your Wig business enough time to pick up.

thank you sir, am really motivated by the amount of response just within 24 hours.
Facebook Advertisement is Good, but for this kind of Product that you need a targeted audience, I advise you consider, Google Adword, Nairaland and Linda Ikeji Adverts. The reason is, these ones have more females visiting their sites while Google Ad will reach more targeted audience than Facebook will do. You also need to utilize the power of Offline marketing, not everybody is Online. You can always get women around you and young ladies to patronize you, by word-of-mouth marketing

Thank you, i have started reading more about google Adword. i will check nairaland soon. am getting a jotter which i will use for weekly and daily task to help me monitor things better.
